Flood works at Racecourse

The announcement of funding for flood works at Wexford Racecourse on Newtown Road was welcomed by councillors. Director of Services John Carley said funding for a minor works scheme was approved. ‘We have a tender in and I wholeheartedly welcome this.’ Cllr George Lawlor said serious damage was caused to houses in Carricklawn and Newlands. Cllr Pip Breen said he was delighted to hear funding was approved to finish works at the racecourse.
