Naoise takes on world
NAOISE MCMANUS, a 13-year-old Loreto (Wexford) schoolgirl, is fighting her way to the top. Naoise is training for the world kickboxing championships being held in Dublin’s Citywest Hotel from October 28 to November 2.
Naoise, who is no stranger to the international stage, has been kickboxing since the age of four and has been on the Irish team since she was nine.
She has fought and beaten the best in the world, having won the prestigious Irish Open, the biggest compettion in Europe in the kickboxing calender, earlier in the year in two of her divisions.
She now hopes to add a world championship title to the list.
Naoise secured a sponsorship deal with Ferrycarrig Auto
Body Repairs, and Louise Power presented her with gear in blue and red, keeping in line with the
Olympic tradition.
