Daily life in Syria
IN association with War Changes Its Address: The Aleppo Paintings (see above), Syrian photographer Giath Taha will present Another Day in Aleppo, a selection of his photographic work in Kamera 8 Gallery in Rowe Street.
THE SOLO exhibition runs from October 27 to December 5. The opening reception takes place on Friday, October 26, at 7p.m.
Exploring the complexities and human cost of civil conflict, Taha’s work is both harrowing and poignant. Focusing intimately on those attempting to survive through unimaginable violence and anguish in the destroyed shell of their home, this exhibition allows the public to see through their eyes. Portraying loss, desperation, fear, and even childhood innocence, Taha has captured the essence of Syrian daily life in the wake of severe conflict.
