Six of the best for Gorey Rangers

Division 3

Leaders Gorey Rangers made it six of the best as they chalked up a half dozen wins on the trot with a 1-0 win over Bunclody.

Gary Murphy got the vital goal as they continued their winning start to the campaign.

Second-placed Shamrock Rovers kept up the pressure with an 8-1 win over Wexford Albion. Jack Carroll scored a hat-trick for the winners, while Shane Larkin, David Kearney, Robert Moorehouse, Elliott Jordan and Lar McDonald also got in on the act, with Elliott Malone getting the goal for Albion.

St. Joseph’s also continued their bright start, with Gary O’Leary (two) and Seán Furlong getting their goals in a 3-1 win over Rathnure, and Stephen Quigley replying.

Shane Breen bagged a double for Enniscorth­y Town and Joe Hyland got their other goal as Enniscorth­y Town beat Bree United 3-1, with Philip Walsh scoring for Bree.

Devin Wall-Walsh and Jason O’Grady got on the scoresheet for Duncannon but they lost out 6-2 to Wexford Celtic, with Alan Browne and Luke Codd netting doubles, and Matthew Duffy and Eoghan Reck also scoring.

Division 3A

Wexford Bohs lead the way in Division 3A after a convincing win over All Blacks on Sunday. The Drinagh outfit came out on top 3-0 with goals from Alan Flood, Sam O’Neill and Luke O’Neill. Ajax Athletic moved into second spot thanks to a 3-0 win in Fethard, with ‘Beefy’ Farnan, Adam Fox and Liam Moore scoring for the Enniscorth­y outfit.

Dillon Parle grabbed an equaliser with ten minutes remaining to earn Rosslare Strand a share of the spoils with Forth Celtic after Anthony Hayes had given the Murrintown men the lead.

Patrick Shannon and Barry Dunne got the goals for Oylegate United as they edged out Bridge Rovers 2-1 in Castlebrid­ge, with Andrew Smith scoring for the hosts.

Rosslare Rangers saw off Corach Ramblers 4-1 with goals from Sam Audsley (two), Lee Pettit and Darren Morris, with Joe Sinnott hitting the back of the net for Ramblers.

Division 4

Gorey Celtic moved to top spot in Division 4 after a fivestar performanc­e in Campile on Sunday. The visitors ran out impressive 5-0 winners, with Paddy Fleming helping himself to a hat-trick and Edmunds Prudskojs and Bobby O’Sullivan adding a goal apiece.

Kiltealy Celtic fought back from two goals down to earn a 3-2 win over Ferns United. Goals from Gary Breslin and Ivan Meegan looked to have the hosts in control, but Kiltealy had other ideas and struck back through Mick Stephens and Robbie Walsh (two).

Crossabeg and The Ballagh United shared the spoils after a 2-2 draw, with Craig Coughlan and Davie Fenlon scoring for Crossabeg and Martin Og Storey and Tom Kelly replying.

Camolin Celtic edged out Courtown Hibs by the odd goal in seven, with Peter McSweeney (two), Keith Crosbie and Ashley Tully scoring for the winners and Oisín Condren, Jack Freegrove and Conor Berney hitting the back of the net for Hibs.

Carne FC left Curracloe with the points after goals from Fergal Buckley (penalty) and Fintan Mullins earned them a 2-1 win, with Tomás Murphy scoring for the hosts.

Division 4A

Cloughbawn moved level with St. Joseph’s at the top of the Division 4A table after overcoming Killenagh Wanderers 6-1 on Sunday.

Callen Morrissey, Kevin Murphy, Adam O’Connor, Patrick Lambert, Mick McGrath and Cian Fortune all hit the back of the net for the winners.

David Power and Mick Kelly both netted doubles for Tombrack United, with Jamie Murphy and Josh McMullen getting their other goals in a 6-3 win over Enniscorth­y Town, with D.J. Murphy (two) and Shane Farrell on target for Town.

Enniscorth­y United won 5-1 in Taghmon, with Tommy O’Brien, Aaron Gannon, Craig Foley, William O’Sullivan and Adam Casey scoring for the winners and Enda Doyle hitting the back of the net for the hosts.

Elsewhere, Castledock­rell chalked up a 2-0 win over St. Leonards.

Division 5

Enniscorth­y United inflicted the first Division 5 loss of the season on Wexford Bohs on Sunday as they ran out 5-3 winners. Bohs had won five out of five before this encounter but United turned on the style with James Sheridan (two), Oumair Rauf, Gary Miller and Dylan Cullen getting their goals and Darren Lambert, Graham Kelly and Josh Guerrine replying.

St. Cormac’s moved to within two points of the table-toppers as goals from Ray O’Brien, Liam Walsh, Robbie Donnelly and an own goal earned them a 4-0 win over Ajax Athletic.

An Anthony Feeney goal was enough for New Ross Town to edge out Wexford Celtic 1-0.

Adam Hogan, Aaron Collier, Jotty Connors, Dion Dunne, John Kane and James Dunne got on the scoresheet for Bunclody in their 6-1 win over All Blacks, with David Foley scoring for the Mayglass men.

Pat Kearns grabbed a goal for Cushinstow­n but his side were on the receiving end of a 5-1 defeat against Shamrock Rovers, with Reece Dunne netting a hat-trick and Kevin Dugdale bagging a brace for the Enniscorth­y men.
