Adamstown win to close the gap on the leaders

Adamstown closed the gap on leaders Glynn Barntown as they made it four wins from four in Division 2 with a hard-earned victory over Shelburne United.

The winners got on the scoresheet through Tom Shannon, Ian White and an own goal, with Kieran Kelly and Paudie Lynch replying for United.

Crossabeg continued their solid start to the campaign with a 2-0 win over Cushinstown.

Second-half goals from Ciarán Marlow and David Berney were the difference between the sides as Crossabeg continued their unbeaten run.

Elsewhere, Adam Sinnott, Brian Doyle and Seamie McLoughlin got the goals for Taghmon United as they chalked up a 3-1 triumph in Curracloe. Niall Kelly got on the scoresheet for the seasiders.
