Agile innovation funding is now available through Wexford LEO

-

BUSINESS owners from across County Wexford and the wide south east region converged on the Maldron Hotel for the RD&I Agile Innovation Fund (AIF) showcase at which they were informed how they can apply for the fund through the Local Enterprise Office.

The AIF is aimed primarily at small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) whose products have shorter life cycles or enterprises that need to develop products quickly.

The event was organised by Enterprise Ireland and among its representatives at the seminar were Regional Director, Martin Corkery, and Joe Maddeb.

Those present were informed that the fund can be accessed for areas like prototype development, consultancy services and staff salaries.

Many business people have great ideas and many other people have brilliant ideas for a business but funding can be a major stumbling block for the majority of potential entrepreneurs.

Significantly, applications for funding through the AIF will be considered from small businesses with more than 10 employees and there is funding available to a maximum of €150,000.
