COMMUNITY LOTTO
There was no winner of last week’s jackpot of €15,000. The winning numbers were 14, 19, 24 and 25. There were four matchthree winners who received €50 each. The winners were Stephen Maher, Kathleen Meyler, Chris Keane and Paula Dempsey. The next lotto draw will be held on Tuesday, October 16, and the jackpot now stands at €15,200.
SOUTH EAST STROLLERS
We meet at Rathangan Hall at 7 p.m. on Mondays (except Bank Holidays or if it is raining). Come along and try out for our fourweek programme in October. We do warm up exercises followed by a 30 to 35 minutes stroll of the walkway (which has a section under lights). A cup of tea or coffee and most importantly a chat afterwards. Bring along a torch and wrap up warmly. It’s a great way to kick-start you fitness. SENIOR CITIZENS HOUSING
The annual general meeting of Rathangan senior citizens Housing Association CLG will take place in the playschool at Rathangan Hall on Friday, October 26, at 8 p.m. Every resident of the parish qualifies as a member and is entitled to attend and vote. All welcome so please come along. Please note venue as presidential election voting booths is in main hall.
USED CLOTHES COLLLECTION
Cleariestown Community Playgroup will be having a Fundraising used clothing collection on Monday, November 12. Please donate all your clean unwanted clothes also bed linen, towels, curtains, shoes, bags, belts and soft toys. Old mobile phones will also be accepted. You can drop off any items at the playschool any weekday morning between 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
TABLE QUIZ
Duncormick Area Action Group and Tidy Towns Committee will hold a table quiz in Sinnott’s Pub on Friday, November 2, at 9 p.m. Tables €20. Refreshments served. Proceeds in aid of river walk development.
