Rats sold out, Something Happens cancelled

-

BOB GELDOF and the Boomtown Rats will play to a capacity crowd when they take the stage in the Spiegeltent on Wexford Quayfront this coming Sunday night, October 28.

The promoters say all tickets for the penultimate event of this year’s Spiegeltent Festival have now sold out. Friday’s Hudson Taylor show is also a sellout and tickets are in high demand for a number of the remaining acts, particularly Neil Delamere, Paul Brady and The Academic.

There was some bad news at the weekend for fans of Something Happens as their headlining show at the Spiegeltent on Sunday (October 27) has been cancelled because of illness in the band. Brian Byrne of Lantern Events says fans who purchased tickets have been notified, and refunds are being issued.

He says Something Happens ‘are unable to perform for the forseeable future’.

‘They are very sorry about this and have promised to return to Wexford as soon as they can. The new date for the show will probably be during the 2019 Festival.’

Something Happens weren’t the only performers on Saturday’s schedule and the Delorentos will be onstage at 7 p.m. as they play Wexford on their True Surrender Tour.

The line-up for the final week is as follows:
