Mini 7s: Wednesday, November 21, was a historic day in Glynn NS Both of our mini sevens teams qualified for the finals of the mini-sevens. They both put up a great show and while we were just beaten in both matches we were very proud of the way that the children played. They showed great spirit and brought great credit to the school and their families. A big thank you to the teachers who trained the teams. SPLIT THE POT BARNTOWN
The split-the-pot winner in aid of Barntown Parish, is Séamie Edwards, Pinewood, Wexford, who scooped €170. Congratulations to you Séamie. CALENDARS
2019 Calendars are on sale now for in the parish office and also in the church. There are some lovely pictures of the church inside and also the grounds outside. It would make an ideal Christmas. Get yours early to avoid disappointment. Great value at €5 each or three for €10.
BADMINTON
Badminton every Thursday night at 8 p.m. in Barntown Community Centre. Come on down and try it out. Equipment provided. Please contact Jimmy Dempsey at 086 3858429 for information or queries.
BINGO
Taghmon Action Group (TAG) presents bingo, every Tuesday night in the TAG premises. Start time: 8 p.m. – doors open at 7.30 p.m. Also split-the-pot on the night. Tea and coffee available.
BARNTOWN HERITAGE GROUP
Barntown Heritage Group have recently formed as a group which consists of a number of local volunteers. We are all about promoting and developing awareness of the huge depth of history within Barntown from famous events, historical structures and local people.
To achieve this we hope to work on a number of projects each year. At the moment we are working on resurrecting the Three Rocks Trail. This trail takes you through a historical journey of the famous three Rocks 1798 battle which was a huge part of the 1798 rebellion.
We will be adding information about our group’s plans and progress on the Barntown.ie website. We are always looking for anyone interested in getting involved and would be delighted to hear from you. Please send an email to barntown.ie@gmail.com or for more info contact Anne at 089 4316353.

SOCIAL DANCING
Learn to jive, waltz, Quickstep and many more. Social dancing classes have resumed in Glynn Hall on Monday, September 17, at 8 p.m. Beginners and advanced – all welcome.
