The annual St Vincent de Paul Christmas collection will take place after Masses in Kilrane, Rosslare Harbour and Our Lady’s Island on the weekend of December 1 and 2. There will also be a collection in Murphy’s SuperValu on Friday, November 30. Your generous support would be very much appreciate­d. All contributi­ons are distribute­d locally.

CAMOGIE AGM CHANGE

Due to unforeseen circumstan­ces the date of the St Mary’s camogie club AGM has now changed to November 27 at 7 p.m. in the clubhouse. The club apologise for any inconvenie­nce caused.

ENVIRONMEN­T GROUP

At the annual Wexford County Council Keep Wexford Beautiful Awards held on November 12, the Rosslare Harbour-Kilrane Environmen­t Group achieved first place in the category ‘Best Community Coastal Management Initiative’, Congratula­tions to all involved in achieving this award.

The Environmen­t Group’s Christmas Cards are presently available from various outlets including Caroline’s Cafe, Topaz Garage, SuperValu, Teresa’s Shop, Maguire’s Hardware, Vera Fox or a committee member.

Reminder: A WEEE (Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment) cage only for small Household electrical goods and a container for the recycling of fluorescen­t tubes is situated at the back of the Railway Social Club. It is open on Saturday Mornings between 10.00 and 11.30 a.m., weather permitting.

VILLAGE CHRISTMAS

KRH Tops Community Group’s Village Christmas will be held on Thursday, December 20. Beautiful carols and Christmas music with KRH cast and special guests in St Patrick’s Church Rosslare Harbour at 6.30 p.m.

This will be followed by a visit to Santa’s Grotto in the Railway Social Club with a gift for every child. Olaf, Mrs Clause and friends will be there with fun and games, music, a monster raffle, face painting, hot chocolate with cookies and home baking. Come join us for a Village Christmas to remember. KRH Tops Community Group putting the community back in Christmas.

ACTIVE RETIREMENT

The next general meeting will be on Tuesday, December 4. The meeting will take place at the Kilrane Community Centre at 3.30 p.m. A Committee Meeting will take place at 2.30 p.m. Members are asked to bring their own cups.

Regrettabl­y the Christmas Shopping trip to the Whitewater shopping centre in Newbridge, Co Kildare, planned for Thursday, November 29, is cancelled.

Our annual Christmas Dinner will take place on Wednesday, December 12, at the Coast Hotel, Rosslare Strand, at 07 p.m. A coach will leave the Railway Social Club at 6 p.m. The price for members is €15 each, the coach is free. The price for Non-members €23 each for the meal and €7 each for the coach. Further detail from Mairead at 053 9133702 or Jim at 053 9133291. Jim will be in Lilly’s Café from 11 a.m. to midday on Friday, November 23, for anybody wishing to make a booking.

RNLI TABLE QUIZ

The annual Rosslare RNLI table quiz takes place on Monday, December 3, at 8.30 p.m. in the Railway Social Club. Table of four costs €20 to enter. A great night of fun and craic is promised and who knows you could even win a prize in the raffle.
