RACE TO BE MAYOR

The GAA Mayoral Election Campaign is well under way and the next few weeks will see lots of fundraising activities organised for the candidates. On December 1 Martin ‘Sponger’ Fortune’s team will hold ‘Come Dine with me’ in the Ballagh Community Centre while on second, December 9 and 16 Phil’s team will hold bingo.

As this year is the 25th Anniversary of Oulart-The Ballagh winning their first Senior Hurling Title (1994) Phil’s team will launch a Souvenir Calendar in Oulart Community Centre on Saturday, December 15. And if you want to buy a real Christmas Tree to support Sponger’s Mayoral campaign, please place your order with Declan at 087 3456523.

The two candidates’ teams also have raffle tickets circulating, with valuable prizes on offer. We would encourage as many as possible to support the events as all the proceeds go to Oulart-The Ballagh GAA Club. Please follow the Facebook page for more details.
