No evidence of donation
Failure to make a donation to the Cornmarket Project led to a drugs conviction for Aidan Murphy 5 Lower Abbey Street, Wexford.
Details of the case arising from the seizure of €20 worth of cannabis from Murphy in his home were given at a previous District Court sitting.
On that occasion the judge ruled that 22-year-old Murphy would escape conviction once he paid €250 to the Cornmarket Project.
When the matter was recalled, there was no sign of the blocklayer and no evidence that any donation had been made.
Plan B was the recording of a conviction, with a fine of €300.
