€12,900 in grants for older peo­ple

Forty-five County Wex­ford groups are to re­ceive a to­tal of €12,900 to fund phys­i­cal ac­tiv­ity for older peo­ple un­der the ‘Go for Life’ Na­tional Grant Scheme.

The suc­cess­ful Wex­ford ap­pli­cants are: Rams­grange Men’s Shed, Kilmore Quay ICA, St. David’s Ac­tive Re­tire­ment Club, Ra­heen Com­mu­nity De­vel­op­ment Group, Kilmore ARA, Southend Ladies Club, Cushin­stown ICA, Monaseed ICA, Tomhag­gard Women’s Shed, St. Josephs Sun­shine Club, Mul­ti­ple Scle­ro­sis Ire­land Wex­ford, Kil­rane/Ross­lare Har­bour ICA, Bal­lagh­keen (The Bal­lagh and District), En­nis­cor­thy ICA, Re­hab­care Wex­ford, Ballyanne ICA, Oyle­gate ICA, Parkin­sons As­so­ci­a­tion of Ire­land (Wex­ford), Shel­bourne Women’s Group, Grans town Day Care Cen­tre, Kilmyshall ICA, Adamstown ICA, Craan­ford ARA, Wex­ford Sports Part­ner­ship, Dun­can­non ICA, Ou­lart ICA, Wex­ford ARA, Cam­ross ICA, Tagh­mon ICA, Gorey ICA, Car­rig-on-Ban­now ICA, FAB Young at Heart Group, David­stown ICA, Tagh­mon/Cam­ross ARA, St. Fin­tan’s Day Cen­tre, Ir­ish Wheel­chair As­so­ci­a­tion Wex­ford, Bree ICA, De­light­ful Dol­lies, Ki­lanerin ICA, Castle­bridge Men’s Club, St. Mullins & District ARA, Se­nior Ci­ti­zens Con­cern Ltd and Rams­grange ARG, Kil­rane Ross­lare HRB Men’s Shed, Wex­ford Work­ing Men’s Club, 21 + Vat Ladies.

The spe­cial grant scheme is part of Age & op­por­tu­nity’s ‘Go for Life’ pro­gramme which is funded by Sport Ire­land and de­liv­ered na­tion­wide with the sup­port of Lo­cal Sports Part­ner­ships and the Health Ser­vice Ex­ec­u­tive.
