€12,900 in grants for older people

Forty-five County Wexford groups are to receive a total of €12,900 to fund physical activity for older people under the ‘Go for Life’ National Grant Scheme.

The successful Wexford applicants are: Ramsgrange Men’s Shed, Kilmore Quay ICA, St. David’s Active Retirement Club, Raheen Community Developmen­t Group, Kilmore ARA, Southend Ladies Club, Cushinstow­n ICA, Monaseed ICA, Tomhaggard Women’s Shed, St. Josephs Sunshine Club, Multiple Sclerosis Ireland Wexford, Kilrane/Rosslare Harbour ICA, Ballaghkee­n (The Ballagh and District), Enniscorth­y ICA, Rehabcare Wexford, Ballyanne ICA, Oylegate ICA, Parkinsons Associatio­n of Ireland (Wexford), Shelbourne Women’s Group, Grans town Day Care Centre, Kilmyshall ICA, Adamstown ICA, Craanford ARA, Wexford Sports Partnershi­p, Duncannon ICA, Oulart ICA, Wexford ARA, Camross ICA, Taghmon ICA, Gorey ICA, Carrig-on-Bannow ICA, FAB Young at Heart Group, Davidstown ICA, Taghmon/Camross ARA, St. Fintan’s Day Centre, Irish Wheelchair Associatio­n Wexford, Bree ICA, Delightful Dollies, Kilanerin ICA, Castlebrid­ge Men’s Club, St. Mullins & District ARA, Senior Citizens Concern Ltd and Ramsgrange ARG, Kilrane Rosslare HRB Men’s Shed, Wexford Working Men’s Club, 21 + Vat Ladies.

The special grant scheme is part of Age & opportunit­y’s ‘Go for Life’ programme which is funded by Sport Ireland and delivered nationwide with the support of Local Sports Partnershi­ps and the Health Service Executive.
