Rooms searched dur­ing break-in

THE gardaí have launched an in­ves­ti­ga­tion into a house breakin in Ross­lare over the past week­end. The in­ci­dent hap­pened in Grange Road be­tween 1 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Saturday and the cul­prits gained en­try to the house by smash­ing a win­dow. Anum­ber of rooms were searched in the house.

Mean­while, the gardaí in Wex­ford are in­ves­ti­gat­ing an at­tempted break-in at a house in Holy­walk, Cromwells­fort Grove, be­tween 10.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. on Christ­mas Day. The owner of the house re­turned to find a pane of glass in the sit­ting room win­dow bro­ken. ‘There was around €250 worth of dam­age caused to the win­dow,’ said the garda spokesper­son.

An ap­peal for in­for­ma­tion has been made in both of the above in­ci­dents and any­one who may have seen some­one act­ing sus­pi­ciously in ei­ther area on the dates in ques­tion is asked to con­tact Wex­ford Garda Sta­tion on 053-9165200.
