Rooms searched during break-in
THE gardaí have launched an investigation into a house breakin in Rosslare over the past weekend. The incident happened in Grange Road between 1 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Saturday and the culprits gained entry to the house by smashing a window. Anumber of rooms were searched in the house.
Meanwhile, the gardaí in Wexford are investigating an attempted break-in at a house in Holywalk, Cromwellsfort Grove, between 10.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. on Christmas Day. The owner of the house returned to find a pane of glass in the sitting room window broken. ‘There was around €250 worth of damage caused to the window,’ said the garda spokesperson.
An appeal for information has been made in both of the above incidents and anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in either area on the dates in question is asked to contact Wexford Garda Station on 053-9165200.
