Allegation of assault in hotel

THE Gardai are investigating a report of an assault, believed to be of a sexual nature, that is alleged to have occurred in a Wexford hotel during the holiday period.

A spokesperson for the force confirmed that an ‘incident is under investigation’ and that it relates to a complaint made to the Gardaí.

‘We can’t comment too much at this stage as the investigation is ongoing,’ said the Garda.
