QQI Healthcare Qualifications

With a large number of Healthcare Agencies operating in County Wexford and a number of new nursing homes, there are more opportunities than ever for both full and part-time employment as a Healthcare Assistant. If you feel that the role of the Healthcare Assistant could be the job for you, you can gain your QQI level 5 qualifications by studying part-time at CTEC. Classes run one full day per week and most learners gain their full major award in less than 18 months.

QQI Childcare Qualifications -level5&6

You can study for the QQI level 5 Early Childhood Care & Education National Certificate and QQI level 6 Early Childhood Care & Education Advanced Certificate at evening classes at CTEC. Again, classes are modular so you can study in the evenings until you gain your major award. Selected modules at QQI level 6 are run following the Montessori Methodology and you can also include a Special Needs Assistant (SNA) module to increase your opportunities for getting employment.

QQI level 6 Special Purpose Award in Training & Development

This new award has replaced the popular FETAC Train the Trainer qualification. It consists of two separate modules – QQI level 6 Training Needs Identification and Design and QQI level 6 Training Delivery & Evaluation. When you successfully complete both modules you will be awarded a QQI level 6 Special Purpose Award. If you already have a FETAC level 6 Train the Trainer Award that is less than 5 years old, contact CTEC to see if you can gain an exemption towards part of the new Special Purpose Award.

Computer Qualifications

Whether you are a complete beginner or looking for a qualification to improve your career prospects, CTEC can offer a variety of courses from ECDL to QQI courses in Payroll, Bookkeeping, Accounts and Reception and Office Skills. Our Payroll course has been updated to include the new PAYE Project to ensure you are fully prepared for employment in this area.
