BALLYOUGHT­ON CHRISTMAS SALE

The annual Christmas sale which was held on Saturday, December 1, in aid of the Ballyought­on Church Funds was very well supported as in previous years making it very successful and huge thanks is given to all who came, bought goods, donated money and helped in many ways to make this sale such a success.

Winners of the raffle prizes were: Geraldine Flynn, Linda Williamson, Peter Hudson, Matthew Stafford, Mary Dwyer, Kathy Murphy, Chris Cummins, Susan Mountford, Margaret Butler, Ken Williamson, Mary Dwyer, Donal Keane, Ashling Murray, Mary O’Grady, Mary Stafford, Nicholas Stafford, Iris Sothern, Donal Keane, Bill Furlong and Margaret Doyle.

DANCING IN TÍR NA NÓG

There is no dance on Thursday, January 10. Dancing starts back on Thursday night, January 17, with music by Mary Prendergas­t; we also will have €100 spin the wheel.

CORACH RAMBLERS FC

Split-the-pot was won by Graham Kelly, Wexford to the amount of €637; the €100 SuperValu voucher was won by Seán Kelly, Ardinagh, Taghmon. Congratula­tions to the winners and wishing everybody a happy Christmas and thanks again for your continued support.

Fundraisin­g – Grantstown Daycare Centre is a Charitable Organisati­on so we are always in need of extra funding. If you are interested in organising a fundraiser or doing a charity event on our behalf or if you wish to make a donation, phone 051 561016, we will help in any way we can.

CE Scheme Vacancies – Do you want a new challenge this January? We have the following positions available in Grantstown: Carers, Kitchen Assistants and Bus Drivers. If you are in receipt of a social welfare payment, Tús or have been unemployed for one year or more, then you may be eligible for a CE Scheme. MOBILE LIBRARY

The Mobile Library will be in Grantstown Daycare Centre on Wednesday, January 9, from 3.10 p.m. to 3.40 p.m. If you would like to join, membership is free. You can pick up an applicatio­n form here in Grantstown Daycare Centre. It’s not just books you can borrow from Wexford Library, there are also e-Books and e-Audio books. If you’re already a library member, you can collect a reserved book from the Mobile Library.
