NEW COURSES
In The Book of Proverbs we are encouraged to “get wisdom, though it cost you all you have get understanding, cherish her and she will exalt you, embrace her and she will honour you.
Life Long Learning is now an option for everyone whether it is to seek employment, change and reskill for a new career or begin the “second life option”.
Education improves us in so many ways; studies have shown we live longer and are often healthier, have greater impact on others and have increased income opportunities going forward. More access routes are available to students than ever before.
The established Level 5 programmes are running again this year namely; Office Administration, Horticulture, Childcare, and Community Care, but we also hope to bring on some new courses. Health Care and Supervisory Management is a Level 6 programme and will allow the opportunity for learners to progress to management roles in Nursing Homes and Care Centres.
Tourism and Business Studies is being introduced and should allow learners the opportunity to avail of the increasing employment positions coming on stream in the Tourism sector especially in the south east and is being facilitated with support from Sean Connick in the Dunbrody Centre.
Kennedy College is available to assist students and learners in making the best possible decisions about their future and to support them in doing this. Anyone interested in further information should contact the PLC coordinator in the college on 051 421278.
