Premier Division

Leaders Shamrock Rovers earned a precious point against champions North End United in their Premier Division match in Hollygrove on Sunday.

The hosts were in the driving seat at halftime, leading 1-0 thanks to Adam Beary, who applied the finish after playing a good one-two with Paul Murphy (Kilmore).

Murphy missed a chance to double the Sky Blues advantage and Rovers fought back for a share of the spoils, with Ricky Fox scoring their goal straight from a corner.

Unfortunately, Eamon O’Brien of Shamrock Rovers suffered a broken leg during the game and everybody involved with both clubs wish him a speedy recovery.

Moyne Rangers have been building up a head of steam of late and they picked up another three points with an impressive 6-2 win over Bunclody.

James Peare and Pa O’Rourke both netted doubles for the Enniscorthy outfit, while Tomás ‘Mossy’ Mahon and Dillon Redmond chipped in with a goal apiece.

Andy Moore, Seán Pailing and Dermot Flood got the goals for Wexford Bohs as they chalked up a 3-0 win over bottom side Bridge Rovers.

Elsewhere, Forth Celtic got an important victory on the board as they edged out Rosslare Rangers 2-1, with Jamie Carty and Lee Busher getting on the scoresheet for the Murrintown men and Danny Furlong replying.

Division 1

Of the five games played in Division 1 at the weekend, Campile United were the only side to forge a victory as they overcame St. Leonards 5-2 in their derby clash.

Leaders Kilmore United and Tombrack United played out a 1-1 draw, with Devin Furlong scoring for the pacesetters and Kevin Kelly hitting the back of the net for the visitors.

St. Cormac’s and Cloughbawn also shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw, with Jimmy Sweeney giving Cormac’s a firsthalf lead and Páidí Cullen grabbing a late leveller. James Graham got the goal for Gorey Celtic in their 1-1 draw with New Ross Celtic, with Adam Gracze scoring for the Barrowsiders.

Moyne Rangers and New Ross Town shared four goals between them, with Liam Evans and Brian Ronan scoring for the Enniscorthy side and Gary Sinnott and Jack Foran replying.
