Two new babies to the parish. Congratulations to Nigel and Sinéad Cullen on the birth of Mia and also congratulations to Eoin and Kerry Buttle on the birth of Annabel. A good corner back and a full forward for the camogie team in years to come.

Hard luck to Mossy Murphy, Pad O’Connor, Feidhlim Roche and Jake Nobbs, who lost out to St Kieran’s College in the Leinster Colleges Quarter Final. They still have a chance of making of to a semi via a playoff. Pad scored 0-3 from play and 0-5 from frees.
We are still on the lookout for any old memorabilia in the parish? We would love to photograph any old medal especially one of the 1899 or 1901 Leinster or all-Ireland final medals, there must be one floating around the parish? Last week’s question: ‘What Blackwater player was honored on the team of the century in Warwickshire?’ The answer was of course current Vice-president Mouge O’Leary, named on the team of the century in 2002, named at full forward, the only wexford player to be named. This week’s question: who captained the 1975 county hurling final winning team?
