GAA LOTTO

With no jackpot winner last week it now stands at a whopping €17,400 for tonight’s draw. Congratula­tions to Patricia Redmond (seller Aileen Mullins) and Paul Rea (seller Butler’s Pub) who shared in the match-three prize winning €70 each. Tickets are available from members and local businesses for just €1.50 each

SPLIT-THE-POT

Congratula­tions to Noel Patrick Power on winning €108 in last week’s split-the-pot draw. Draw will now take place in Parochial House Conservato­ry after Sunday Mass all are welcome for cuppa, chat and draw.

BINGO

Our Lady’s Island GAA club weekly bingo continues each Tuesday at 8 p.m. with a chance to scoop our jackpot which now stands at €600. What a great start to the New Year that could be. We get under way at 8 p.m. in Butlers Lounge. Hope to see few new faces as well as our regular players.

KNITTING GROUP

Tacumshane Knitting group meet every Monday from seven – 9-p.m. in Tacumshane Old School.

BREAKFAST MORNING

There will be a Breakfast Morning in Tagoat Day Care Centre on Sunday next, January 20, in aid of the Day Care Centre, from 10 a.m. to midday. Your support will be very much appreciate­d.

POST OFFICE CLOSURE

With the imminent closure of the post office one of our main outlets for split-the-pot will no longer be available. Instead before Mass every Sunday morning the Men’s Shed will open for this purpose and your support would be much appreciate­d. There will also be craft items made by the Men’s Shed group available for sale.

As a community we would like to thank Áine Scallan for her many years of service, kindness and helpfulnes­s towards so many in this community by making a presentati­on to her.

There will be a collection during the next few weeks, and we will mark the occasion at Mass on a Sunday Morning at a date yet to be decided.

ST PAUL’S AC

Training continues on Mondays and Wednesdays at the usual times in Rosslare Strand new members welcome. Juvenile Cross Country Relays will take place on Sunday, January 20, at midday.

Our AGM will take place on Wednesday, January 16, at 7.30 p.m. in the community centre, Rosslare Strand. We hope and appreciate that as many parents and guardians as possible will attend.
