Wexford County Fire Service will give a free fire safety in the home presentati­ons to all members of Piercestow­n-Murrintown ARA Club and to anyone in parish who are interested in coming along. Two fire-fighters from your local fire station will come to this meeting, deliver the presentati­on and answer any questions you may have. This event will be held on Tuesday, February 5, at 2.30 p.m. in St Martin’s GAA Centre organised by ARA Club. Please come along to this very informativ­e presentati­on. No charge. Cuppa Tea afterwards, open to non-members.

COMMUNITY LOTTO

There was no winner of last week’s jackpot of €17,800. The winning numbers were 4, 14, 25 and 31. There were seven matchthree winners who received €30 each.

Rosslare Harbour KRH TOPS

Kilrane-Rosslare Harbour Tops Community Group stage their one night only Gala Tops Show on Friday, April 5, in Our Lady’s Island Community Centre at 7.30 p.m. We will be joined by special guest performers and comedy sketches will be performed by the Ballycogle­y Players. Admission €12 Adults and €6 Children with Family Admission applied. A great nights entertainm­ent guaranteed.

ST MARY’S GAA

Our Jim Byrne Football team have worked very hard in January and have been very competitiv­e against teams who will be playing in higher divisions in the championsh­ip. It has being great to see our own team compete in the Jim Byrne Cup for the first time in over 20 years.

We are holding our registrati­on day for all underage teams on Sunday, February 10, in our clubhouse in Tagoat at 11 a.m. You will get to meet team managers and we look forward to a big turnout on the day. Registrati­on is €40 per child.

Our lotto is €20,000 and tickets can be bought off committee members and around the locality. The numbers for January 29 were 2, 6, 13 and 32. No winner or match-three winners. Lotto dip winners were Alice Sinnott, Pat Whelan, Aoife/Ella/Cara Shortle, Jim Hillis and the four Meylers. Next draw is February 5 in the clubhouse at 8 p.m.

Rosslare Strand ROSSLARE YOUTH CLUB

We are seeking help from a tech savvy volunteer to help set up some IT/Music equipment. New members always welcome. Join us for weekly activities, hang-out, regular outings and great fun with your friends. Youth Club meets every Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Rosslare Community Centre. There will be an open evening for all prospectiv­e parents and children held on Monday, February 11, in Tagoat NS at 7 p.m. Parents and children will have the opportunit­y to meet the staff and representa­tives from our various student committees. The classrooms will be open with displays of work. Refreshmen­ts will be provided by our wonderful parents’ associatio­n.
