Soroptimists raise €7,000 for St Bridget’s Day Care Centre

SOROPTIMISTS International Wexford handed over a cheque of €7,115 to St Bridget’s Day Care Centre last week.

The President for Soroptimist Wexford, Mary Kerr gave the proceeds to the organisation after raising the money though a charity lunch at the Ferrycarrig Hotel.

The charity lunch which is always a sell-out took place on Nollaig na mBan this year.

Soroptimist member Alma Hynes said the fundraiser had been a great day with entertainment from Ronan Furlong.

‘Every year we pick a different charity to help and everyone including the local Wexford businesses were very generous which helped us raise such a large amount for St Bridget’s.

Dick Trappe, Mary Finnegan and Sean Kinsella accepted the cheque from Mary Kerr (Soroptimists President) and members.
