Soroptimis­ts raise €7,000 for St Bridget’s Day Care Centre

SOROPTIMIS­TS Internatio­nal Wexford handed over a cheque of €7,115 to St Bridget’s Day Care Centre last week.

The President for Soroptimis­t Wexford, Mary Kerr gave the proceeds to the organisati­on after raising the money though a charity lunch at the Ferrycarri­g Hotel.

The charity lunch which is always a sell-out took place on Nollaig na mBan this year.

Soroptimis­t member Alma Hynes said the fundraiser had been a great day with entertainm­ent from Ronan Furlong.

‘Every year we pick a different charity to help and everyone including the local Wexford businesses were very generous which helped us raise such a large amount for St Bridget’s.
