Birthday celebrations for Tom
Tom Sherlock got the surprise of his life when he walked into Sinnott’s Bar last week.
Tom from The Grove was expecting to go for a quiet drink but instead walked into his own surprise 70th party.
Organised by his children Sally and Andrew Tom was delighted to see so many of his friends and family gathered in Sinnott’s to wish him a happy birthday.
Originally from Navan, Co Meath Tom and his late wife Carmel moved to Wexford some 25 years ago with their children. Tom who used to work with Customs in Rosslare was also joined by his former work colleagues.
He was also delighted that his son Andrew flew home from Sweden for the party. As well as his children and son-in-law Mick O’Rourke, Tom was also joined by two of his four grandchildren, Myles (10) and Ellie (6). His other two grandchildren, Vincent (12) and Emelie (10) were home in Sweden with Andrew’s fiancée, Jeanette.
Daughter Sally said Tom had had a great night once he got over the shock of walking into his own surprise party.
