Banned from the road for ten years

-

A TEN-YEAR driving ban was formally recorded against Ger Connors of Rosemount, Drinagh, when he was brought to Gorey District Court on February 14.

The 26-year-old admitted driving a motorcycle without insurance at the Island Road in Enniscorthy last June.

The court appearance in Gorey came two days after he dealt with similar charges which were finalised at a court sitting in Wexford.

The offence was committed on the afternoon of June 11 when he was seen riding a blue Galway-registered Kawasaki.

Judge John Cheatle was reminded that Connors already stood banned for ten years.

A similar disqualification order was made out in this instance and the defendant, who is serving a sentence, left with his prison officer escort.
