Music students reach for the Sky!

- By PÁDRAIG BYRNE

PERFORMING Arts Music students from Enniscorthy Vocational College took over The Sky & The Ground to showcase the skills they’ve acquired with a special gig.

The show was called ‘Human’ and featured performances from the students on the course along with a host of special guests. There were some really interesting covers from international artists such as The Cranberries, John Mayer, Paolo Nutini and even going back to the classics such as Buddy Holly.

It wasn’t all covers, however, and there were also some original pieces composed by Ultan Warren. Each performance was received enthusiastically by the supportive audience.

Among the special guests performing on the night were renowned singer songwriter Rachel Grace, Luke Spellacy, Nicole Gavin and guest drummer Liam Ascott.

The evening proved a great chance for these young performers to show off their talents and they also raised some vital funds for the Jack & Jill foundation, to whom all the proceeds were donated. A raffle was also hosted on the night, again with all proceeds going to the worthy cause.
