A festival of running
WEXFORD MARATHON Club members are busy finalising plans for the first Wexford Running Festival on the weekend of April 13 and 14. Five races will be held in the picturesque setting of the Johnstown Castle grounds, with something to cater for all tastes.
For those into their endurance, a 24-hour race will begin at midday on the Saturday, with all events set to conclude at midday on the Sunday.
There will also be twelve-hour, six-hour, three-hour and one-hour races held, with a very good cause set to benefit.
Any profits from the festival will be donated to the ‘Ask’ mental health campaign - another very good reason to get involved whether you’re an experienced athlete or a first-timer.
