Premier Division

Premier Division leaders Shamrock Rovers got back to winning ways in style as they proved much too good for Corach Ramblers on Sunday.

The pacesetters ran out convincing 4-0 winners, with Emmett Quirke opening the scoring, Peter O’Rourke adding a double and James Carty also getting in on the act.

Forth Celtic got another win on the board as they overcame Courtown Hibs 3-0. All the goals came in the second-half, with Ciarán Redmond, Jason Ellard and Jamie Carty scoring for the Murrintown men.

Bunclody earned a welcome victory as they overcame Wexford Bohs 2-0 with goals from Timmy Bolger and Andrew Kelly.

Elsewhere, Moyne Rangers beat Bridge Rovers 5-2 in Castlebridge (see focus match).

Division 1

Tombrack United are very much in the shake-up for a quick return to the top flight and on Sunday they picked up another three points thanks to a 2-1 win over New Ross Celtic.

Jamie Walshe and Josh O’Byrne scored for the winners, with the Barrowsiders replying through an own goal.

Marco Santos and Jakub Konkel hit the back of the net for Gorey Celtic as they saw off Moyne Rangers 2-0.

Division 2

Glynn Barntown moved three points clear at the top of Division 2 after a hard-fought away win over Killenagh Wanderers on Sunday.

The leaders opened the scoring after 20 minutes when, after some lovely play down the left, Fionn Cooney’s cross was met by Nigel Usher, who powerfully headed home.

Killenagh came out after the break with real purpose and ten minutes in Seamus Doyle grabbed the equaliser.

However, Glynn Barntown got the noses in front with 20 minutes remaining when Rioghán Crosbie fired home a penalty, and that proved to be the winning goal.

Nicky Sinnott showed he has lost none of his scoring prowess as he netted four goals for Cushinstown in their 5-1 win away to Shelburne, with Ian Gaffney getting their other goal.

Division 3

Gorey Rangers extended their advantage at the top of Division 3 to four points thanks to a 4-0 win in Bree on Sunday, with David Curley and Dillon Dixon both bagging doubles.

Raheen beat Rathnure United in a goal-fest, with Dylan Whitty (two), Patrick Whitty, Stephen Costello and Pádraig Whitty scoring in a 5-4 victory and Anthony Westnott (two), Brian Lawlor and Jimmy Nolan replying.

St. Joseph’s hit Bunclody for six goals without reply, with Callum O’Reilly helping himself to a hat-trick, Seán Furlong adding a double and Dave Maleady also getting in on the act.

Division 3A

Ajax Athletic boosted their promotion hopes with a 4-0 win over Ballymurn Celtic on Sunday.

Jack Hanley, Chris Hendrick and Jamie Fox (two) got the goals for the Enniscorthy outfit.

Division 4

Camolin Celtic fought back from 2-0 down to earn a share of the spoils against Crossabeg on Sunday.

A superb double from Davie Fenlon looked to have Crossabeg in control, but goals from Peter McSwiney and Ashley Tully earned Celtic a point.

Division 5

All Blacks staged a rousing second-half fightback to earn a point against Wexford Celtic on Sunday.

Goals from Ryan Lynch, Jason Moore and Emmet Sinnott had the hosts three goals to the good at the interval but All Blacks rallied after the break, hitting the back of the net through Michael O’Brien, Kevin White and an own goal.
