CLONARD GUIDING UNIT

Well done to the girls on Sunday, who completed a 7km town sponsored hike and thank you to everyone who supported the girls. Congratula­tions to our Brigins, who took part in the pl training last weekend, you did us proud. Everyone is now getting ready to celebrate ‘Thinking Day’ with a big fun day in the TAG Centre on Saturday, February 23. There’s always room for more girls just call in any Tuesday between 5 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. to meet us and find out about all the fun we have.

WEXFORD TOWN ICA.

Ladies our meeting will take place in Coolcotts Community Centre, February 21 at 7.30 p.m. The competitio­n is six chocolate chip cookies to go forward to the federation on February 25 in the Riverbank. The speaker will get everyone thinking about health and fitness. There’s a grand stretch in the evenings so it’s time to get out and enjoy the brightness. Looking forward to seeing you all as always for tea and chats.

SVP BRIC-À-BRAC

The St Vincent de Paul Society will hold a Furniture and bricà-brac sale in St Michael’s Hall, Thomas St, on Friday, February 22, from 10 a.m. – 12.45 p.m. All proceeds in aid of the society.

GAA CLUB NAME CHANGE

Clonard GAA Club will now be known as Na Fianna Clonard, we are now a dedicated Hurling and camogie club. There will be a rebrand of the club, with lots of exciting plans for the future of the club.

We had a great start to our underage hurling and camogie training. We had lots of eager members ready for training and welcome to the new members who joined. Training takes place every Tuesday in St Peter’s College from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for four 1/2 years up. Both boys and girls welcome to join. Adult Hurling training continues every Wednesday evening in North End Astro pitches from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. with our guest trainers. New members welcome.
