Boxer on bail for assaults

IRISH international boxer Dean Walsh, who pleaded guilty to two charges of assault, was remanded on continuing bail at Wexford Circuit Criminal Court for sentencing on February 4 next.

The 25-year-old from Wolfe Tone Villas, Wexford town, pleaded guilty to assaulting Anthony Karlike at Commercial Quay, Wexford town, on July 2, 2017, and also to a second charge of assault at North Main Street, Wexford, on November 5, 2017, on John Redmond. Defence Counsel, Jordan Fletcher, asked for a date for sentencing and for a Probation and Welfare report.
