Driving while on his mobile

THE case of a motorist seen with a mobile phone held to his ear was dealt with in the offender’s absence at the District Court sitting in Wexford.

Lee Murphy (30), Mooretown Great, Ballymitty, was spotted holding the phone at a checkpoint in Scarawalsh near Enniscorthy on the evening of August 7 last.

A fine of €140 was imposed.
