Restaurant says thanks with food delivery to hospital

-

The Holy Grail restaurant said a thank you to coronavirus frontline staff at Wexford General Hospital by delivering complimentary hot meals to them as a gesture of thanks.

Proprietor Manoj Varavumkal said ‘it was the least we could do’ in appreciation of the hard work and dedication of staff in the Covid-19 ward during the coronavirus public health crisis.

The Holy Grail restaurant at 78 South Main Street in Wexford town prepared chicken curry and biryani rice for 40 people and Manoj and James Redmond delivered it in person to the hospital, for the staff to enjoy during a break.

‘It was just a small way of saying thank you for all their hard work, they are taking risks every day to help others’, said Manoj.

‘Afterwards, they rang me to express their appreciation but it was the least we could do.’
