EILEEN JUMPS THROUGH HOOPS TO STAY ACTIVE IN LOCKDOWN

-

AS the daily challenge to keep the children entertained continues, one fitness instructor from Mayglass is hosting daily ‘hooping’ sessions designed for all the family.

Eileen Rowe has been living under lockdown since the middle of March and, as a result, has been unable to hold her regular yoga and fitness classes. However, she has decided to help people stay active by hosting classes on her Facebook page each morning.

Using weighted hula hoops, she and her children have ‘hooping’ for 15 minutes every day since the beginning of last month.

‘There’s been loads of mammies and kids joining in; it’s something the whole family can do together. You can buy the special hula hoops online or, if you prefer, you can use regular hula hoops; just pull them apart, fill them with stones and sand, and put them back together,’ Eileen explained.

‘The weight creates extra resistance, it’s very therapeutic because of the repetitious nature of it.’

Join Eileen and her kids for daily hooping sessions every morning on her Facebook page at Eileen Rowe Health and Fitness.
