Fr. Murphy’s GAA club look forward to better times in London

THE FR. Murphy’s GAA club in London held their 63rd Annual General Meeting on the last day of February.

The meeting was well attended, with proceeding­s conducted via Zoom. This was a first for the club and all went very well.

A warm opening welcome was extended by the Chairman, Jim Howlin, with an expression of condolence­s for all who have lost loved ones or who may be struggling with an illness during this difficult time.

A big thanks to all officers for their contributi­ons and their work and commitment to the club, especially the Secretary, Seán Howlin, who has done a fantastic job throughout the year.

Although it was a difficult year, with limited games being played due to the pandemic, Jim thanked all the players and management for their continued support and ongoing drive and commitment to the club. Well done to all involved.

A huge thanks to the London Wexford Associatio­n for their strong links and continuing support to the club over the years.

Best wishes were extended to the Fr. Murphy’s ladies and the Fr. Murphy’s youths for the coming year.

Thanks to London County Board for their hard work and support, and to anyone who has helped out during the year.

We are all looking forward to a more positive 2021 season.

Fr. Murphy’s is a warm and friendly welcoming club. Membership for non-playing members is £10 for the year if anyone would like to join.
