Team ‘ Out of Order’ have officially qualified for the Open All Ireland Drama Festival Final hosted by RTE which will take place in Athlone in May. The team added the all important third win to qualify them at South Wicklow Drama Festival last Saturday night. Congratula­tions to all involved and all of the awards and nomination­s were so well deserved.

Ballycogle­y Players are delighted to announce that for the first time the group will take to the stage of the O’Reilly Theatre in The National Opera House on, Sunday April 14th, at 7:30pm. Tickets are available on www. nationalop­erahouse.ie or by contacting the box office directly. We hope to see you there! Tickets for this show are extremely limited so book now to avoid disappoint­ment.

KRH TOP COMMUNITY GROUP

The Group are looking forward to hosting their Annual Concert on Wednesday 8th May in St Patrick’s Church, Rosslare Harbour. They will present a varied programme with lots of special guests and some surprises. All proceeds will go to the funds for our Community Resource Centre. Watch this space for further details.

ENVIRONMEN­TAL GROUP NOTES

The annual An Taisce National Spring Clean for the area is on Saturday, April 6th (All volunteers are welcome). We will be leaving St. Patrick’s Church at 9.30am. The volunteers will be provided with gloves, litter pickers and bags.

Reminder: A WEEE (Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment) cage only for small Household electrical goods and a container for the recycling of fluorescen­t tubes is situated at the back of the Railway Social Club. It is open on Saturday Mornings between 10.00 and 11.30am, weather permitting.

Note: The group turns out every Saturday morning at 9.30 and every Wednesday at 7pm (May to September inclusive). Meeting point is the Memorial Park unless prearrange­d. All volunteers are welcome.

CONDOLENCE­S

It was with great sadness we learned of the passing of Eddie Kavanagh, Rosslare Harbour on Tuesday February 27th after a long illness. We offer our sincere sympathy to his wife Nancy, daughters Mary and Martina, sons John and Eamonn, brothers, sister, grandchild­ren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends. Eddie was brought back to his native Craanford for his funeral Mass in St Patrick’s church and was laid to rest afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Sympathy is extended to Mandy Kehoe, Thorndale, on the death of her father the late John Kehoe, Pondfields, New Ross, who passed away on March 6th.

John is deeply missed by his wife Cait, daughters Denise and Mandy, sons-in-law John and Ian, grandchild­ren, sisters, brothers in law and extended family.

Condolence­s also to Leona Irwin, Churchtown, Kilrane on the death of her grandmothe­r the late Kathleen Faulkner, Dungiven, Co Derry, who passed away peacefully at Altnagelvi­n Hospital on February 3rd. Kathleen was laid to rest after funeral Mass in Church of Immaculate Conception, Gortnaghey. She is sadly missed by all the extended family.

The community of Rosslare Harbour and surroundin­g areas were shocked to learn of the death of Linda Walsh, St Mary’s Terrace, Rosslare Harbour. Linda was visiting family in Wales with her husband Billy, when she suddenly became ill and passed away. Linda was a valued member of staff at Wexford General Hospital. She is deeply missed by Billy, children Andrew, Lisa and Faith, mother Gwen, grandchild­ren, brothers Keith and Stuart, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephew, niece, cousins and friends.

May they Rest in Peace.
