KILTRA SCHOOL OF MUSIC CONCERT

The Kiltra School of Music will present a choral extravagan­za of rock, pop and musical theatre in the National Opera House on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st April. Tickets are on sale now from the National Opera House box office 053 9122400 and from Bredas Corner Shop in Carrig on Bannow. Ticket prices €15-€22.

SOCIAL DANCING

CARRIG COMMUNITY CENTRE

Dance Fit every Thursday night. Dance Fit Class will start at 7p.m. and Social Dance Class will start at 8p.m. No partner required, lots of fun, plenty of exercise and fun! Pay as you go.

Slimming World every Wednesday 5.30pm till 7.30pm - all welcome.

Social Dancing on Friday nights - next dance on 12th April with music by Sean Loughrey.

Bingo every Saturday night from 8pm - all welcome.

COMMUNITY GAMES

A reminder that Athletics Qualifiers take place in Taghmon on Wednesday 24th April at 6pm.

The U10 & U12’s are busy practicing to play Carlow in Leinster Competitio­n as are the U13 Soccer Players.

Well done to Donnacha Barry on winning U10 County Handwritin­g competitio­n, He now qualifies for All Ireland, best of luck!

CHARITY WALK - The Grantstown Charity Walk will be taking place on Bank Holiday Monday 6th May at 11am, commencing at the Church. Registrati­on is at 10.30am: €10 Adults, €5 Teens & Children, under 12 Free. High vis vests must be worn during the charity walk. Tea/Coffee and Cakes for everyone upon their return

DEMENTIA CAFÉ - Grantstown Daycare Centre are once again hosting the Wexford Dementia Alliance Pop-Up Dementia Café on Friday 26th April from 10.00am – 12.30pm

This free of charge Pop-Up Café facility is open to people in the community living with or concerned about dementia. Are you caring for a family member? We are reaching out to you to come to our Café. You are welcome to bring a friend and/or your family member living with Dementia. Doors open 10am. Informal opportunit­y to meet, share ideas & get support.

Guest speaker on the 26nd is Niamh Bolger, Wexford Age Friendly Coordinato­r. Niamh will talk about the Wexford Age Friendly Strategy 2022 - 2026. Developed by the Age Friendly Alliance following an extensive consultati­on with older people throughout the county. The Strategy seeks to enhance the quality of life of older people in County Wexford, using a multi-agency approach (statutory, voluntary and community sectors) to implement a range of objectives and goals.
