BREE PARISH ANNUAL SPRING CLEAN

Bree Parish Annual Spring Clean will take place from March 23rd to April 14th. Bags are available at Hammel’s of Bree, Jutta O’Meara’s home Bree (Y21 Y135) 086 2712147, Martin Cahill’s home, Ballybritt­as, Bree. (Y21 DR72) 087 6379708.

The filled bags are to be left at The Bullaun (Triangle) which is at Sparrowsla­nd, Bree, where they will be collected by the Council at the end of the Spring Clean. A WhatsApp pickers group is being set up with Martin Cahill as the co-ordinator. Pickers may register with Martin ( 087 6379708).

Congratula­tions to Matthew Murphy on winning the gold medal in Boys U14 Art and to Eoin Browne on winning the silver medal in the Boys U12 Handwritin­g.

Best of luck to all local quiz participan­ts taking part in the Co Quiz Final in Bree Community Centre on this Thursday 11th April and to all swimmers taking part in the Co Swimming Finals in Enniscorth­y Waterfront on Sunday, 14th April.

BREE UTD BINGO

Bree Utd hosts bingo every Sunday evening at 6pm in Hammel’s of Bree. Come along and join in the fun. Loads of chances to win. Bree Utd split the pot envelopes are in Centra in Bree and Hammel’s of Bree. Draws takes place every second Monday. Thank you to all who support the club.

BREE BABY & TODDLER GROUP

Bree Baby and Toddler Group meet each Tuesday 10.30am12noon in Bree Community Centre. Open to parents, grandparen­ts, childminde­rs, babies , toddlers and wobblers. BREE AC NEWS

Congratula­tions to Ava Wilson, Sarah O’Brien and Kiera Wilson who all medalled at the National Indoor Championsh­ips last weekend. Ava won the gold medal in the U14 High Jump and finished 4th in the U14 Long Jump. Sarah won the bronze medal, with a PB, in the U15 High Jump and Kiera also won the bronze medal, with a PB, in the U17 High Jump. Congrats also to their coach Catherine Corcoran. Other Bree AC participan­ts in the Nationals were Eoghan Ennis and Ruth Hassey who both finished in 10th place in the Long Jump.

Training has now resumed on Tuesdays and Thursdays for middle and upper athletes, on Saturday mornings for all age groups and on Sunday afternoon for high jump. Any queries to breeathlet­icclub@gmail.com
