1 BEN PORTSMOUTH - THIS IS ELVIS: The National Opera House welcomes the incredible talent that is Ben Portsmouth on Thursday, April 18 at 7.30 p.m. Ben, from Berkshire, is a singer, songwriter and actor. He appeared in ‘Autopsy: The Last Hours of Elvis’ and ‘Are You Lonesome Tonight’. He is most notably known as a renowned Elvis tribute artist. From a very young age Ben listened to a range of music, his favourite artist being Elvis Presley. He started his career as an Elvis tribute artist in 2005, forming the ‘ Taking Care of Elvis Band’. In 2012 he won the prestigiou­s ‘ Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest’, crowning Ben as the ‘ Worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist’, the first artist from outside the USA to ever win this impressive achievemen­t. Ben and the band will perform Elvis’ most loved songs from all the different eras of the King’s career. With great charisma, looks and musical talent, audiences claim ‘ this is the closest you will ever get to the King himself’. 2 ALFIE HUDSON TAYLOR AT THE CROWN LIVE: Musician Alfie Hudson Taylor is performing at the Crown Live as part of his five show Irish tour. Taylor is half of the musical folk duo, Hudson Taylor, but has since left to focus on his own craft. His first solo single has recently been released and is titled ‘Being In Love’. Taylor has received chart-topping success in both the UK and in Ireland, with over 60 million streams globally. The musician has also toured with The Rolling Stones and Hozier. Taylor’s concert takes place on Friday, April 19, and doors open at 8 p.m. The concert is a standing show and for people over 18. 3 GROWING YOUR BUSINESS: The Riverside Park Hotel is hosting a fireside chat and networking event to help new and up and coming businesses. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 18. The panel to give advice are Conor Swaine – BTwenty7, Pauline Dunne - Killowen Farm, Therese O’Connor – County Wexford Chamber Skillnet and Lorcan Kinsella – Brand Nova. This event is not to be missed by any new business looking to grow.

4 GOREY WHISKEY CLUB PRESENTS AN EVENING WITH GLENDALOUG­H: Gorey Whiskey Club invites everyone to an evening of whiskey tasting, at Browne’s Bar, on Thursday, April 18 from 7p.m. to 9 p.m., with whiskey sourced from Glendaloug­h Distillery. Irish Brand Ambassador Eoin Cooney will be hosting the night, providing informatio­n on the whiskey. The event is ideal for those who are interested in learning about their local craft distillery. 5 BRYAN POWER SHADOW AND LIGHT: Bryan Power, a psychic medium renowned for his unique abilities, is showcasing his talents in New Ross on Saturday, April 20. As seen on the ‘Blame Game’, ‘the Panel’, ‘Countdown’, ‘Celebrity Mastermind’, ‘The Celebrity Chase’, ‘Beat The Chasers’, Neil continues to tour extensivel­y, with appearance­s at Kilkenny Cat Laughs, the Melbourne Internatio­nal Comedy Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival to name just a few. His shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival have garnered rave reviews.
