Holders New Ross Celtic joined Oylegate United in the Neil O’Sullivan Cup final by dispatching North End United’s second string 3-0 in Crossabeg on Sunday.

Goals either side of the break, from Seán Duffy and Adam Sinnott, had the Barrowsiders in control, and Luke Sinnott put the icing on the cake with their third in the 90th minute.

Premier Division

Champions North End United finished off their Premier Division campaign in winning fashion as they overcame Moyne Rangers 2-0 at Hollygrove on Friday evening.

Eoin Rhodes opened the scoring four minutes before the break, and former Moyne man John Peare grabbed their second goal in first-half injury-time.

Having surrendered their Premier Division crown to arch-rivals North End, Gorey Rangers got back to winning ways with a 2-0 success against Forth Celtic at Altura Credit Union Park on Wednesday evening.

They got the job done early, with Nathan Brennan breaking the deadlock in the ninth minute and Niall Keys doubling their tally just four minutes later.

It was probably a case of shadow boxing as Wexford Cup finalists Shamrock Rovers and Forth Celtic faced off in a dress rehearsal at Peter Quinn Park.

A Jack Mullan double had the Murrintown side two goals to the good by the 26th minute, but Joseph Akinyemi halved the deficit twelve minutes after the interval. Adam Beary bagged a goal in the 83rd minute to seal a 3-1 success for the visitors.

Crossabeg AFC continued their good recent form on the same evening as they overcame Wexford Bohemians 2-0 at ‘The Brute’ Walsh Park.

Barry Coughlan opened the scoring for the visitors in the 19th minute, and Will McCreevy grabbed their second goal just past the hour mark.

They moved up to sixth place in the table on Friday with a 1-0 win over Campile United.

Cian Kinlough got the all-important goal midway through the second-half, with Brandon Sinnott providing the assist.

Bunclody AFC got another three points on the board with a 6-2 triumph against Wexford Bohemians at Church Road on Sunday.

Aaron Dunne helped himself to a hat-trick for the hosts, while Shane Franklin, Joe Finn and Oisín O’Leary also got in on the act. Lewis Kinlan and Conor Kehoe netted for Bohs.

Division 1

Gorey Rangers won 5-2 away to Cloughbawn on Thursday evening, fighting back strongly after the hosts twice took the lead.

Owen Furlong opened the scoring with 15 minutes on the clock, but that goal was cancelled out by Evan Rogers ten minutes later.

Callan Morrissey restored Cloughbawn’s advantage in the 55th minute, although the Gorey response was instant as Cathal O’Brien equalised. Seán Roche put the visitors ahead for the first time midway through the half, before O’Brien scored twice more to complete his hat-trick.

Gorey’s hopes of winning the title were ended by Corach Ramblers on Sunday, with the visitors winning 2-0 at Altura Credit Union Park.

Cathal Cummins opened the scoring shortly before half-time, and Darryl Murphy grabbed their second in the 95th minute.

Courtown Hibs and Shelburne United shared the spoils after a 2-2 draw in Ounavarra Park on Tuesday of last week.

Ryan Lewins fired the hosts in front shortly after the interval, but Niall Kehoe got Shelburne back on level terms in the 62nd minute.

Cormac Moore gave Hibs the lead for a second time in the 74th minute but, again the visitors had the answer, with Brian Lynch levelling deep into injury-time.

Shelburne United came out on top 2-1 against Bridge Rovers on Sunday thanks to a second-half double from Eoin Burke. Shane Hogan had given the Castlebridge side an early lead.

Division 2

Champions Rathnure United finished their campaign with a 4-3 win over St. Joseph’s on Sunday. Stephen Reilly (two), Nicky Quigley and Robert Flynn scored, with Craig O’Reilly, Dylan McEvoy and David Smyth replying.

Kilmore United secured promotion with a 3-0 success against Tombrack United. Paul Roche opened the scoring in the 36th minute before Colm Furlong and Jeff Kearney added to their tally after the interval.

Division 3

Gorey Celtic steered clear of Taghmon United, who are third from bottom of the table, with a comfortable 3-0 win over their relegation rivals in Horetown on Wednesday evening.

All of the goals came late in the game, with Liam Carroll netting a double, either side of a James McGraynor strike, to condemn Taghmon to the drop.

Division 3A

Billy Browne Cup finalists Rosslare Strand will go into their meeting with Bunclody in high spirits after ending their league campaign with a 4-2 win over Courtown Hibs.

Danny O’Reilly will certainly be full of confidence after scoring all four of his side’s goals, while Jude Tyndall-Stafford and Noah Power netted for Hibs.

Division 4

Ferns United secured runners-up spot in Division 4 with a 4-1 win over St. Cormac’s in Clone on Thursday evening.

Patrick Roche helped himself to a hat-trick for the hosts, while Aaron Moorehouse also got on the scoresheet.
