Áine earns Maynooth schol­ar­ship

A south Wick­low woman was among a num­ber of first year stu­dents recog­nised for their Leav­ing Cert re­sults at Maynooth Univer­sity’s annual en­trance schol­ar­ship cer­e­mony last week.

Al­most 40 stu­dents be­gin­ning their stud­ies at Maynooth in 2018 were awarded €1,000 for achiev­ing 550 points or more in their Leav­ing Cer­tifi­cate ex­am­i­na­tions.

Ten stu­dents study­ing the Froebel Bach­e­lor in Ed­u­ca­tion de­gree were recog­nised on the night for their Leav­ing Cer­tifi­cate achieve­ments and among them was Áine Roche from Av­oca, a for­mer student of St Mary’s Col­lege,

This year, Maynooth Univer­sity also of­fered a new schol­ar­ship to one en­trant to MH103 Mu­sic course as well as four Michael Os­borne Equine Busi­ness Schol­ar­ships to stu­dents of the Equine Busi­ness de­gree pro­gramme.
