Coffee... and a manicure!

Wicklow People (Arklow) - - NEWS -

A TASTY SELECTION of buns and cakes were devoured at the first coffee morning at the Further Education and Training Centre in Carnew last week.

More than €400 was raised for the Irish Cancer Society initiative ‘Cups Against Breast Cancer’, with even more donations still to come in.

The morning did not just entail tea, coffee and cakes, but also a stall where visitors could enjoy a relaxing hand massage from two Level 5 Healthcare students or a manicure from Katie Smith from Superdrug in Arklow.

The Further Education and Training Centre said it would like to thank those who donated raffle prizes; the students for their hard work; to those who baked or brought in goods; the students who gave hand massages; and Katie for the manicures. ‘We will definitely be doing it again next year,’ said tutor Geraldine Wadden.
