COOLGREANY VINTAGE CLUB CHARITY TRACTOR AND CAR RUN
THE very first Coolgreany Vintage Club Tractor and Car Run was a great success last Sunday with more than 50 participants.
‘The fine day made it, it went very well,’ said Dan Kennedy, chairman of the Coolgreany Vintage Club. ‘We raised about €1,000 for the Coolgreany Support Fund.’
Some 50 vintage tractors and cars gathered in Coolgreany on Sunday morning before setting off around the roads of North Wexford. The tractors travelled to Arklow, Thomastown, Johnstown, Croghan, Annagh, Ballyfad and returned back to Coolgreany. The cars went on a different route to Inch, Arklow, Aughrim, Tinahely, Annagh, Hollyfort, Kilanerin, back to Inch and finally returned to Coolgreany village.
Dan said refreshments were served to those who participated in the vintage run when they returned from there two hour travels. He thanked all of those who took part in the run; volunteers; Gardaí for their help; and to the community of Coolgreany for supporting the event.
