X Factor adventure comes to an end for Jack (17)
“It was such a wonderful experience and the group wants to stay together as they have such an amazing bond already”
THE X Factor journey came to an end for Manor Kilbride teen Jack Tisdall as pop group United Vibe were eliminated from the show on Sunday night.
Following controversy over sound quality issues during the live show, viewer voting time was reduced leaving contestants with less time to gather votes than usual. Many supporters from County Wicklow were unfortunately unable to get through to cast their vote as the phone lines were jammed.
The group’s mentor Robbie Williams was unavailable on the night due to prior commitments but the group told media after their elimination that they were not upset about this and that they understood why he could not be there.
Seventeen year old Jack Tisdall who entered the competition as a solo act and was put into boy band United Vibe, formerly Vibe 5 for the live shows has had the support of his home village throughout including his old primary school St Brigid’s NS.
The village has been covered in posters and it is expected that a large welcome home event will soon take place.
Jack’s mum Charlotte said that he is thrilled to have come so far in the competition.
‘Jack said the other day that he wouldn’t change a thing and that he was delighted to have reached this stage. It was such a wonderful experience and the group wants to stay together as they have such an amazing bond already. They are also so happy to have built up a large fan base the ‘UV gang’!’ she said.
‘We are so proud of him and what he has achieved and everyone in Manor Kilbride is sad to see it come to an end but were so proud to see someone from the area on X Factor.’
