Gle­nart Col­lege rolls out the red car­pet for open evening

GLE­NART COL­LEGE threw open its doors to prospec­tive stu­dents re­cently for its annual open evening.

Pupils from the lo­cal pri­mary schools and be­yond, ac­com­pa­nied by their par­ents, grand­par­ents and sib­lings, were treated to tours of Gle­nart Col­lege and its won­der­ful fa­cil­i­ties.

Cur­rent stu­dents were on hand to ex­plain their ex­pe­ri­ences in Gle­nart and show case their work.

Prin­ci­pal Louise Kearns gave a talk to over 600 peo­ple in which she out­lined the many op­por­tu­ni­ties, sub­jects and fa­cil­i­ties on of­fer in Gle­nart.

There were a host of stu­dents projects, sport­ing and aca­demic achieve­ments on dis­play, with re­fresh­ments pro­vided by the school in house cater­ing team.

Prospec­tive stu­dents got the chance to try their hand at among other ex­pe­ri­ences, wood­work and met­al­work and to taste some of the home eco­nomic treats, work­out in the school gym and speak a new language while be­ing en­ter­tained by the school choir.
