RUSSBOROUGH Parkrun celebrated its first anniversary last Saturday. It started on December 2. Since then the organisers are thrilled to report that 611 participants have completed 44 parkruns covering a total distance of 8690km including 389 new Personal Bests.

Thank you to the volunteers who made Russborough a success over the last 12 months, with a 10 volunteers average every Saturday. Russborough is run completely by its volunteers without whom we wouldn’t have Russborough parkrun. Also a big clap to the students that are doing the Gaisce awards with them.

Saturday’s race got off to a wet start but runners and walkers were in good spirits. Parkrun is not only for runners, You can walk, jog, run or volunteer. Everyone is welcome at parkrun.
