Wick­low pair help DDSL to U-15 crown

TWO tal­ented Wick­low soc­cer play­ers achieved na­tional suc­cess last week­end when they formed part of the DDSL un­der-15 team who de­feated Water­ford to claim the SFAI SUB­WAY Cham­pi­onship crown at Mullingar Ath­letic FC in Gainestown, Mullingar.

Rath­new’s Sam Healy was goal­keeper for the suc­cess­ful DDSL team and even pulled off a tremen­dous penalty save in the clash with Water­ford.

Sam’s sport­ing pedi­gree is well known with brothers Chris and Jack hav­ing long im­pressed on the sport­ing fields and Sam looks cer­tain to plough his own sport­ing fur­row in the years ahead.

Ark­low’s Jack Mur­ray was the sec­ond Co. Wick­low player who helped the DDSL side to the na­tional ti­tle.

Jack, a for­mer player with Ark­low Town FC, is a very tal­ented young foot­baller with a bright fu­ture in the game.
