Round­wood se­cure place in Jako Cup de­cider

ROUND­WOOD AFC will meet Cool­boy Rangers in the fi­nal of the Un­der-16 Jacko Cup after they slayed a gal­lant Ark­low Celtic side 7-2 in Kil­cashel last Fri­day even­ing.

The Vartry Park side came through their quar­ter-fi­nals thanks to a bye but they turned on the style last Fri­day even­ing by fir­ing seven past Celtic to se­cure their place in the fi­nal.

Their op­po­nents, Cool­boy Rangers, (see re­port be­low) also man­aged seven goals in their semi-fi­nal, against Wick­low Rovers, and had to ac­count for Ark­low United in the quar­ter-fi­nal of the pop­u­lar com­pe­ti­tion with Ark­low Celtic bet­ter­ing their neight­bours Ark­low Town in the last eight while Wick­low rovers also had a bye.

The fi­nal prom­ises to be a very de­cent bat­tle be­tween two good foot­balling sides and all sup­port would be ap­pre­ci­ated on the big day by both sets of play­ers.

The Round­wood side who ac­counted for Ark­low Celtic in the U16 Jako Cup fi­nal and will now go on to face Cool­boy Rangers in the de­cider.
