We had a ‘Golden Goals’ for last Saturday night’s Champions League Final between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur or Spurs as they are more fondly known.
At the time of going to press we didn’t have any news regards the winners (probably Liverpool fans!)
Thank you all for your continued support.
We only have one player from the club celebrating a birthday in the next week and she is Chloe Mullen from the Development Squad.
Happy birthday, Chloe, from everyone at Newtown Juniors F.C.
Also well done to under-9 coach Vicki O’Toole who recently completed her goalkeeping and ‘D’ licence courses ran by the coach education department in the FAI recently.
Also well done to a couple of our under-11 players who represented Wicklow against Wexford in Shillelagh on Bank Holiday Monday. They were Mikey Synnott and Dylan Dunleavy while goalkeeper Nichita Neaga was also selected but he couldn’t play as he was away on holidays.
Well done, lads.
