There will be a progressive 45 card game in Roundwood Parish Hall on Sunday, June 9, at 7 p.m. excellent prize money with refreshments and raffle at the interval. Everyone welcome.

The next Roundwood car boot sale will be on Sunday, June 23, and every fourth Sunday of the month thereafter. Set up of stalls from 9 a.m., Cars €10, Jeep/Van €15.

On Friday, June 21, Musici Ireland with Lance Coburn (piano) Miriam Roycroft (cello) and Beth McNinch (viola) will perform Beethoven’s Eyeglass Duo, Schumann’s Marchenbilder, Da Falla’s Suite Popular Española, Carl Vine’s five Bagatelles and Brahms’s Piano Trio in A minor Op. 114.
On Tuesday, June 25, Ellen Jansson (piano) will perform Beethoven’s Sonata in A-flat Op. 26, Debussy’s Feux d’artifice, Alexina Louie’s ‘Warrior’ from Scenes from a Jade Terrace, Bach’s Chromatic Fantasie and Fugue and Liszt’s Ballade No two. Local artist, Declan Cooke (piano) will perform Edvard Greig’s ‘Wedding Day at Troldhaugen’.
On Thursday, June 27, The Janet Ashe Memorial Concert: Adam Heron (piano) will perform Bach’s French Suite No. Three in B-minor BWV 814, Schubert’s Piano Sonata No. 16 in A-minor D. 845, Albéniz’s Iberia, Cuaderno one and Beethoven’s Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor Op. 27 No. Two ‘Moonlight’. Local artist, Jack Lawlor (piano), will play Chopin’s Nocturne in Eb major, Debussy’s Clair de Lune and Debussy’s La Fille Aux Cheveux de Lin.

The Shed continues every Tuesday between 10 and 12 in our Shed within a Shed at Pat Carr’s place in Knockraheen. The topics are wide and varied and we continue to participate in a growing list of activities.

Our weekly set dancing sessions continue in Kavanagh’s Lounge All are always welcome – whether you have ever or never danced before. Session starts at 8.30 till 10.30 and cost is still only €5 for a good night of exercise.

The Wicklow Man will play in Moneystown Community Centre on Friday, June 7, from 9.30 p.m. till tlate. Tea served and refreshments also available. Come along and enjoy a night of waltzing, jive, line dancing etc.
A date for your diary. Moneystown barn dance and barbecue will take place on Saturday, June 29, starting at 8 p.m. till late. Fully licensed, fabulous food and great country music provided by Paul Molloy and the Whole Hog. So look up your stetson and grab your dancing shoes and come along to this great night.
The Roundwood Whizzers walking group will meet on Wednesday evening (June 5) at 7 p.m. at the Coach House and will walk the Lower Reservoir Walk. Everyone welcome to walk at your own pace for approximately one hour.
