All team members and volunteers please note we shall be meeting in the Market Square, Rathdrum, every Monday evening at 7 p.m. Anyone, who wishes to join us or help us in any way is very welcome. We reached a good standard last year, so let’s keep up the good work and do even better this year.

ATHLETIC CLUB NEWS
The Parnell girls had a busy weekend with Community Games in Limerick and Relays in County Kildare. Well done to Lacey Shannon on fifth place and the fourth team in the under-16 Road race. Ciara Colohan had a great run in the under-13 1200m making it to the final and Maria Zakharenca under-12 Relay and Cross Country. The under-10 and under-11 Relay teams had super runs, Emma Byrne, Ella Breen, Amber Lily Carey, Elizabeth Leschenco, Helen Winterbottom and Leah Barrett.
A reminder that our 1-mile challenge fundraiser takes place on Thursday, June 6, for ages under-8 to 16, seniors, parents, Fun Runners. Open to everyone, please join us.
Results of the last whist drive: Top Score – M Haughton and B Kelly; second place – C Doyle and M Whelan; third and fourth place shared – L Melia and M Cowman, N Vickers and C Driver. Raffle winners were C Driver, J Olohan and N Vickers. Next whist drive will be held on Wednesday, June 12, at 8.30 p.m. in the Anne Devlin Annex, RDA.
Bingo is onas usual on Friday night at 8.30 p.m. in the RDA Hall, all welcome.

WICKLOW 200/100 CYCLE
The Wicklow 200 and 100 cycle takes place next Sunday, June 9. As usual Rathdrum has been selected as one of the refreshment stops at the RDA Hall.
The 200 route from Bray through Roundwood, Hollywood, Aghavannagh, Glenmalure, Rathdrum and back to Bray is a tough route for all concerned. The Wicklow 100 route also comes through Rathdrum via Laragh. Expect a lot of cyclists on the roads on Sunday and in the town.
Congratulations to Cllr Pat Kennedy, who was re-elected in the council elections, topping the County Wicklow polls. Pat works tirelessly for the improvement of Rathdrum and his re-election will no doubt be for the benefit of the town.
GYMNASTICS/TRAMPOLINE SUMMER CAMPS
Summer camps in both Rathdrum and Wicklow Town, all run by professional coaches who are all ex or current gymnasts. This is our 11th year running camps and they are always full.
Great fun for all from the absolute beginner up to the very aspiring gymnast. Camps cover floor, vault, bars, beam, trampoline and our Air Floor for basic tumbling skills. Ages 3+. Camps are licensed by Gymnastics Ireland and all participants are registered with them for summer membership. Last week turned into a perfect evening for the 38 participants after a misty start. Paddock Hill provided its usual 360 panoramic views which were thoroughly enjoyed by all. The now obligatory history lesson on the Gossan Stones, which are encountered on the circuit, was also given.
This week takes us to Brag/ Whitewashed Gables in Glenmalure. Meet as usual in Parnell Memorial Park for 7 p.m., Glenmalure Lodge at 7.20 and walk start at 7.25.
